The Remix Artist Collective (RAC) recently finished their rendition of Phoenix’s new jam. “Trying to be Cool” was off their latest album Bankrupt!, which was one of the best albums of the year thus far. More remixes of that album will definitely be making their way through the cracks in the comings weeks.

J. Cole went to Twitter recently to release his latest track for free to his fans. The song, which Cole claims will not be on his upcoming album Born Sinner (June 25th), samples Lauren Hill. This one is definitely worth your time.

The A$AP Mob recently released a remix with Rocky’s verse on a song that has been in the news for Rick Ross’s controversial verse. The verse is not in this remix, probably for the better. This one is deceivingly addictive.

R. Kelly was the surprise guest for Phoenix at Coachella last weekend. Many speculated it would be Daft Punk accompanying the French band on stage, but, instead R. Kelly joined them to do a live mashup of Ignition and 1901. The Hood Internet jumped on it to make a mashup of the the two. Phoenix’s upcoming album Bankrupt! is dropping next week. I’ve had the pleasure of listening to the album, and I can say it will be one of the best albums of 2013.
